About me
I am an English born artist, writer and musician currently based in Sheffield, England. My practice over the past four decades has moved through landscape painting, abstract studio work, video, performance and installation.
Many of the paintings on this site, those done between 2014 and 2019 were inspired by or directly executed from designs created on the computer. I was interested in the way digital technology was changing the way artists work, the way they see the world and the art itself.
My current painting (2020 onwards) resurrects a previous interest in imaginary landscapes and interior spaces as the places humans inhabit. They can be seen as a metaphor for imaginary worlds.
